Prayers were requested for the repose of the soul of Most Rev. Remi De Roo, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Victoria, who passed away peacefully in Victoria on February 1, 2022 at the age of 97 years.

at that difficult time.

Prayers for Most Rev. Remi De Roo, Bishop Emeritus of the Diocese of Victoria, were held at St. Andrew’s Cathedral in Victoria on Friday, February 11 at 5pm. His funeral followed on Saturday, February 12 at 11am, also at the Cathedral. Parishioners who wished to attend the funeral were asked to RSVP before 1:30 pm on Friday, February 11th by calling St. Andrew’s Parish Office at 250-388-5571. Covid-19 restrictions limited attendance to 50% of the capacity of the Cathedral, and face coverings had to be worn by all people aged 5 and older.
